Odd failure. I would expect open wire after burn out instead of complete toast.

I have some known good Chinese CDI systems available for testing if you want some data. I bought a couple of broken Quinqi scooters for $50 each and just got the 150cc 4 stroke running last week. My scope is not up right now but I can get DVM readings. I also have a pin out/connection diagram if you want to double check that against what you have.

Nah! just kidding.......I hack-sawed thru the epoxy to the laminated core to count the turns. It was still glued so tight that I took my propane torch to it to free things up. Still haven't got it tore apart yet. Chuck
