Need a left engine side cover for a 1976 XL350.  Mine has the clutch actuator bottom hole egged out and is not funtional.  Need not be pretty, just in good condition internally!  Has anyone an idea on repairing it?  I do not have access to a machine shop but am willing to try anything to get the bike back on the road!

Ok,that one didn't work out.  Taxideryman57 tried but it would not work.  Still need engine sidecover or info on repairing mine!   HELP!

Just curious. What wouldn't work with the side cover? I thought that the left side cover was the same on the 250s and the 350s  from '72 to '78. Please keep the cat from dying, Pat.

 Taxidermyman had a 'right' engine cover.  That was the problem.  I did not realize the range of interchangability !!!  That is good information to know!  Still need the cover tho'

I sure would appreciate it whoosh!  It sure seems to be a common part that is hard to find.  If I don't get one I will tackle fixing the one I have (machine shop?).  Take your time, I have a LOT of projects going on right now anyhow!  Thanks again!!!
