Am considering purchase of an '85 XL100 from the original owner with 1200 miles on it.  It's in great condition, has some corrosion on case, but not too bad.  Am considering this for my wife/kids, so corrosion not a big deal to me as I'm not a collector.

Wondering what something like this is worth?  His ballpark figure was ~$1000.  No rush on purchase as it's from a neighbor and unadvertised.  I know I could get something much newer for less to serve same purpose, but obviously not the same nostalgic value, plus I have an '84 XL250R, so like the idea of adding another 'classic' to the garage.

With valid title and all street legal paraphernalia, for $1K it'd have to be in primo, #1 condition.

No street legality?  $600 tops and goin' down from there depending on condition.

At least around here.

Sounds neat, though.  I'd MUCH rather have something with a bit of nostalgia than a modern day 'whatever'.

Plus, no one even MAKES a street-legal tiddler these days, so that's always neat...

It is street legal, and other than a little corrosion on the case, is in near pristine condition. Chrome on the wheels looks like new, not a spec of dirt on it anywhere.
