I was ridding today going down the maple valley highway its 50 I was doing 60-65 got to my destination did my thing (gave my mom her casarole dish back) and headed for home about 20 mile drive. I like to go fast you all know what I am talking about so I was doin 70 on the way home. I got close to the car in front of me so I pulled in the clutch and it acted like it ran out of gas. I had plenty of gas and died and now when I kick it it has almost no compresion. I dosnt make any funny noises when I kick it and it didnt make any when it died just cut out. So what does everyone think is gonna be wrong with it? Im just glad I got it home I really didnt want to leave it on the side of the road as I know it wouldnt have been there long before someone took it.

Well crap I had a hella of a time gettin this thing home and all that appears to be wrong is its runnin to rich with both carbs open. I still dont know why the compresion release is working so much better. It used to hit a hard spot every few kicks and now it dosnt. I did adjust the valve clearnce and didnt touch the comp release maybe thats what the deal is. Anyone else got one of these bike with a super trapp if so what mains are you using? It is running now I just had to kick the crap out of it.

I pulled the plug today to confirm my suspicions but was suprised to find the plug not really black more of a white color so I guess it was to lean. The plug was a dpr7ea and the new one I put in today was a dpr8ea I dont know plugs and dont know where my shop manual is right now so whats the differnce. Isnt the dpr7ea a colder weather plug? Its about 85 here right now. I took a disc off the super trapp to see if that gets a little more color back on the plug.
