Here is the new Honda (Montesa brand) Trials bike. looks pretty slick compared to our old Dino-bikes! Specs say it is 162 lbs. Couple of lbs off the old TL250.http://usmontesa.com/html/the_bike.htmlSwiss

That new Montesa/Honda four-stroke is a really, sweet bike. I drool over the photos everytime I see one. I NEED one in my garage next to my little TL125; sort of a "old vs. new" type of thing. And, along those lines, a new XR650L sitting next to my XL250 would be nice.

The local trials supplier was supposed to get one in recently and he offered to let me come out and try it out. I have no experience on the new "boomerang" trials bikes, but I would love to give it a try. I love my little TL125 and I ride trials at a very amateurish level, so I don't think I would come near to exploring the limits of this machine. But, I do think it would be a hoot to ride.

On another note, many trials riders on the trials web forums I frequent, are really concerned about the new four-strokes. They are so used to the comfort level of the 2-stroke trials bikes and they don't want to change. The Honda factory trials team riders tested the new 4T Montesa/Honda at the World Rounds and they did pretty well, so that should quell any concerns about four-stroke capabilities.

I guess I better run out and buy some Montesa T-shirts to wear along with my Honda T-shirts. Ha Ha.

These are real neat bikes. I understand that they are fuel injected, and don't have a battery. You kick them over a couple times to prime the computer and it'll start on the third or so kick. When warm they start right up. Is this true? Is this new? This has potential....

Hey,  I have had my 4T since right after Christmas and it is a blast to ride.  Very strong, w/more lowend plonk than I imagined.  It took no getting used to for me.  I also ride a TL-125 in vintage.  Clint
