Wow. That sure does sound like a LOW VIN and ENG number. Would be interesting to see what numbers are surviving, and if any are lower than those!
My 1972 XL250 K0 has the following numbers:
Frame: XL250-1025973
Engine: SL250SE-1034650
Looks like they made quite a few units from that !
What I would love to know is does anyone have a perfect MATCHING pair of numbers? Yours are about as close as I have seen Herr Stig.
We should start up a database to list in numerical order everyone's VIN 's ... maybe with a link to the side to see a picture of the actual bike now. What do you guys think?

Thanks guys, will check the advancer assy. The scupper on the bottom of the main is all good. Might try a smaller main as suggested.
Plug is new and a nice light gray.
Will go back to the drawing board ...

Hmmmm... still have the issue guys...
I checked the points gap and thats all fine.
Can anyone give some ideas to me?

I have a 2mm or 0.080" Wiseco Piston Kit complete with rings, circlips and pin if you want it.
It's a Genuine Wiseco kit and has 4092 P8 on the box. I will sell to anyone for $75 plus shipping.
I also have a good spare rod and can sell that for $25.
