Can any of you guys help?
I am looking for the small piece of 'wire' that attaches to right hand exhaust stud and ends in a loop to hold the tacho cable off the hot exhaust. It basically looks like a piece of bent coathanger (which is what I am using at the moment!). Over the past couple of years I have sourced all the other small bits and bobs, that although did not stop the bike running, do have a purpose.
In the UK the Motorsport was not as popular as in the States, so trying to find this part over here has drawn a total blank.
Even a picture of the genuine article would help, so that I could make my own.
Thanks,
Phil

What year?

Have you looked at www.bikebandit.com or

www.servicehonda.com

At least on the Service Honda website you can look at an eploded view of the part & it has an enlargement tab to zoom in.

good luck

Its a 1974 xl250 motorsport (ko).Tried those, thanks Strick. I have also tried CSML, which is a big NOS parts supplier over here in europe, but still no joy. Why do people throw these bits away, dont they realise that 35 years later I need one!

If any one can help, even with a picture and some dimensions, that would be great.

Oh I forgot to mention that the wire is 3mm in Diameter.

I have this one here ...

It's not quite the same, but you could easily bend it into the correct shape.

If you buy the covers from me, I will throw this bracket in for free.

-Dave.
