Bike has been running sweet! I bought some new sprockets and a chain. Front sprocket 13 T, rear 41 T. Any thoughts comments on this combo for an 82 XL 500R? Is this the stock or acceptable arrangement??

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Rob, stock ratio is 14\41, but riding off road only, is 13 up front just fine.

Thanks. I installed the new chain and sprockets today. The ones I pulled off the bike were 14/43. Job went smoothly. I notice some differences but haven't riden enough to say exactly what they are    : )) I bought a stock chain and it looks like I will have to remove a link to allow for more slack ( I am almost at the end of the adjusters now). Riding at this time of the year is awesome!
