I have a 1986 xl250r. Have to replace the head gasket. Does anyone know how much this normally cost. i have only ridden my bike a few times and i love it. I want to upgrade the exhaust also. Was thinking of going .50 over on it also. I am looking to drop it off at a local shop for the work or do it over the winter. I have found extremly hard to find parts for this bike. Also looking for a group of riders in michigan.

Well most of the people here do there own work so a head gasket replacement would cost around 30 bucks. If your gonna have a shop do it your probably looking at a little over 100 bucks. Its not to hard get yourself a shop manual and some tools and go for it.
