so i finally after tracking down a wiring diagram i was able to locate to broken wires and and a half working but mostly not working ignition switch. so after sorting through that the bike finally runs and is running real strong hardly ever an smoke, however theres just one problem.... when i am running the bike i hear this clicking noise that sounds like the rockers or valves for that matter, i changed the oil and it still makes the noise, i took of the cover closest to the exhaust to expose the rocker arm and found it very easy to rock back and forth. the other side was not like this was at all it had just a little play but not much, however my question for everyone, is there a way to adjust this free play and if so how?? any help would be greatly appreciated :)

thanks again,
Corey

Corey, if they "rock" adjust the valves. If there is too much end play get some shims and put on inside end of rocker not between cup and rocker. Valve lash is .002" on intakes and .003" on exhausts. Pat Orman.

And to add to that advice, the 0.002" and 0.003" adjustments are made at TDC only.

Buy the manual--its only about $25 from Helm through the Honda website.

davidsilverspares (type this into your search engine) here in the UK do the genuine Honda workshop manual for £10 and the original handbook that goes under the seat for £5. With our pound so weak at the moment, now is a good time to buy from the UK.
