Hello all on this wonderfully helpful site, I have just purchased myself a 1977 Honda XL175 with only 1800 miles. It had sat for quite a few years. When I got it home I cleaned the carb, and it fired right up. It works wonderful, and always starts on the first kick, but it won't idle. I have adjusted the mixture and idle screws on the carb, and I could get it to idle with the idle screw, but when I gave it a shot of gas, it revved fine, but stayed at the higher RPMs for about 4 seconds. I can't figure out what the problem is, so if you have any helpful information, it would be greatly appreciated if you could give me any suggestions. Thanks all!
