I want three.
One SL 125/100 for either the 100 or classic 125 class.
One punched out XL250 in a trick frame for the age classes.
One TL125 for the trials events.
I retire in FEB11 and when folks ask me what I'm gonna do, driving around the country racing motorbikes is it.
I need to start building some bikes. However there is always a best; year, head, fork, wheel, etc . . . . .
frame guy, motor guy etc . . . . if any of ya'll have some advice I am very grateful.   Hank

Hank,
You have come to the right place for information and technical know how. With all of the previous posts, the current bike builds, and the XL page, there is a great wealth of information at your finger tips. It helped get me hooked and I am sure you will find the site a good place to get your fix of everything XL!

I'm in the early stages of an xl250 (for fun) and an xl397 (for flattrack). Lots to learn on these motors still... but slowly getting my ducks in a row. Neat motors, for sure! Great info on this site too...

Go soothingly on the grease mud ... as there lies the skid demon! ...
