 Hi fellas,
I'm putting an XL250 motosport together for vintage mx. I'm on a tight budget so it'll be a pretty basic build.

Have fitted a big bore (285cc) piston.......unfortunately no info came with the piston so I'm not sure what compression I have. It does take a decent kick to start her though.Head and cam are stock.....(can't afford a cam just yet) Have removed the mag rotor and made up a 12 volt total loss system. The bike is running a 32 VM Mikuni carb with a pod filter.

The header pipe is inch and a half.......and 33 inches long. Not sure what sort of muffler to run.......short reverse cone or a longer tapered muffler......any ideas/ suggestions ??

My vote is for Supertrapp... They're pretty inexpensive, light weight & you can fine tune for power by adding/removing disks.
I want to lengthen the pipe & re-bend mmine so it's further back.

Go soothingly on the grease mud ... as there lies the skid demon! ...
