Hello,  I recently purchased a bike advertised as a 1982 Honda.   I found this site and hoped that some of you knowledgeable folks could help me out identifying what model I have here.   As far as I can tell, a big wheel XL125, black frame, lights and battery removed and seat changed. I'm not certain what year or any specifics.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I have been browsing,  and some pictures of 1978 models look similar.

What does the VIN plate on the steering tube say?

It should start out with the model number like XL125-987263, (or CL125-987263, or CT125-987263) and also have a manufacture date. NOTE: The manufacture date is often one year behind the US Model Year, as they had to crate and ship the bike to the US from Japan. For instance I have a 1974 XL125 and it was manufactures in 11/73.

Also, you can check the serial number on the motor, it should look something like XL125E-113491.

The gas tank looks like a 1977 or 1978, the side panels look to be from a CT125 (Trail 125).

Looks like you have a bit of a mish-mash, the frame should tell the story.

I have had this bike in storage and I recently starting looking into it again and found this thread.  So I'm going for the latest reply ever here, ha.

Here is the info

I would like to make this into a rider.  I guess I need to figure out how to go about getting the title.
