The second I start my bike it revs all the way like the throttle is stuck.I just checked and its not,there is plenty of slack in the wire.Where else should I start looking

 its more than likely your carb

could be the spring or the needle, who knows? take the whole thing apart and clean it in varsol or mineral spirits. check the needle for damage as well as the holes in the jets. its probably just dirty or maybe the spring is damaged.

If there is lots of slack in the throttle cable, the slide is probably not going all the way down, Make sure the slide is not in the carb 180 degrees off. The short notch should be on the same side as the idle screw.

Spring sounds like the thing. But you might lube the cable to see if it loosens up. Or maybe even replace it.

 Just had this..on startup bikes revs right up. Adjusted cable all the way in by the grip and its better. So would think I gave some slack to allow slide to go all the way down.


Go soothingly on the grease mud ... as there lies the skid demon! ...
