The rockers in my rocker cover are damaged & missing bits of chrome plating.  I bought another rocker cover & the rockers are in good condition. I want to swap them out but removing the dowels that retain the rocker shafts is stopping me dead in my tracks. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Aluminum expands quicker and more than steel so a gentle application of some heat, propane torch would help.  You may destroy the old ones anyway if they are corroded in the cover.

Lock on with vise grips, apply the heat and see if you can twist them enough to get them out.  Of course some penetrating oil is what you have probably already tried!

Thanks Swiss
Was not sure if they were pressed into the alum housing or the steel rocker shaft end caps
